Effective, high cell permeable and non-toxic spin probe for the quantification of slow released intracellular O₂^·- production and detection of reactive oxygen species in vitro and in vivo. The spin adduct is resistant to reduction by vitamin C and thiols. Half-life time of spin adduct in biological environment amount to 4h. Samples in frozen condition (-80 °C or liquid nitrogen) can be stored up to 6 months
